Our ABSN program offers you:

Offering hybrid (online-based) or on-campus delivery options, it allows qualified students with bachelor’s degrees in non-nursing fields the opportunity to work toward a rewarding new career as a nurse in as few as 15 months.

ABSN Learning Sites in Maryland

Notre Dame hybrid (online-based) ABSN students participate in nursing skills and simulation labs multiple days each week at our program site in Elkridge.

Students enrolled in the on-campus ABSN program will go to the Center for Caring with Technology, located in Baltimore.

Admissions Requirements

Our 15-month ABSN program with three start dates per year is a great option for motivated individuals looking for an accelerated education option to transition into nursing. In order for that to happen, though, you must first meet the qualifications necessary to apply to our program.

To become eligible to enroll in our ABSN program, you must:

  • Hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree.
  • Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4-point scale).
  • Successfully complete any remaining required prerequisite courses (22 credit hours).
